Ecclesiastes 7:26:
And I find more bitter than death
The woman whose heart is snares and nets,
Whose hands are fetters.
He who pleases God shall escape from her,
But the sinner shall be trapped by her.
Modernized by Claude.ai:
I discovered something worse than dying:
getting caught by a person whose love is really a hunt —
heart like a trap, hands like handcuffs.
Please God, and you’ll walk away free.
Lose your way, and you’re caught.
How can I please God?
By not being lost / intimidated by thoughts and feelings on behalf of the me-character you think you are.
Drama is “this world”, is “flesh”.
Why is it so hard to see that the “me” I think I am is fabricated by conditioned thinking and muscle-memory?
Listen to scripture with all of being, give it some creative inner space, include yourself as all participants.
The above “caught by a person…” is not necessarily ‘another’.
